The Bond Poetic – Episode 1.19 – ‘Can’t get enough (of the world)’

Bond faces two enemies in one – a seductress and her maniacal companion combine to threaten the world – as the ‘world isn’t enough’ for them. 007 is supported by a young Dr call ‘Christmas Jones’..i’ll say no more on that…

Can’t Get Enough (of the World)

Energy is at the centre again

This time oil is the price

Roberts is brought down by his pin

Renard, doesn’t know how to play nice

Bond chases the assassin on the water

In a boat designed by Q

An explosive balloon puts her to the slaughter

There was nothing 007 could do

Bond tracks Roberts only family

The £5million is traced to Renard

He is a blast from the old KGB

Getting a confession will be hard

The bullet from 009 lives on

Renard is tough and feels no pain

Elektra captured; is it a con?

So much for a bullet to the brain..

Bond seeks to watch over Elektra

They are attacked by a paragliding crew

He does his best to protect her

Bond looks for help in Baku

The trail leads Kazakhstan

Bonds decides to switch roles

Dr Christmas Jones is not a man

Plutonium is now the nuclear goal

M is brought on board

Elektra changes tack

Many are shot; thrown ‘overboard’

Bond and Jones suffer an explosive attack

Bond knows the deception is in play

M needs to be saved

A Russian sub is being used today

007 needs to block; the road that’s been paved

A single bullet ends Elektra’s days

But now Renard is the one to catch

Jones is on board the sub; 007 don’t delay

That plutonium core; you need to snatch

The final fight is under the sea

007 rescues his partner Jones

Renard dies with a rod; he doesn’t plea

Bond makes a call with a phone…

Pierce Brosnan returns for his second outing as 007 in Tomorrow Never Dies as he does battle with a media mogul in the shape of Eliot Carver (Jonathan Pryce) in Germany any in the South Chine Seas…

Living to Never Die; Anyday

Pierce returns for his  second turn

Cheyrl lets us hear her voice

Another baddie is there to discern

Carver is the name; the new bad choice

The encoder is bought at the bazaar

Arms for those wanting a war

Bond intercepts; they don’t get too far

He leaves them by the front door

But war is on the map

China versus the UK

Carver wants to bait the trap

Then sit and report the ‘affray’

A stealth boat muddies the water

The UK want to fire back

Bond in Germany is a lamb to the slaughter

Paris helps Bond with a personal attack

Carver knows her true history

Kaufman makes that her last act

Bond sees her misery

Then makes Kaufamn’s life retract

With assistance from Wai Lin

They find the sunken ship

A rogue missile is Carver’s route in

To send the the Chinese government into a dip

Wai Lin is caught on the stealth boat

Bond sorts out a rescue

Stamper makes a mental note

Ensuring Bond doesn’t get through

The engines are now down

The boat is now exposed

A missile is launched;it doesn’t make a sound

Stamper is now trapped by his toes

Underwater Bond dives in

Wai Lin is chained for death

Saving her by the ‘skin’

Bond joins her; as they share their final ‘breath’…

The Bond Poetic – Episode 1.17 ‘Eyes Like Gold’

We are introduced to a new 007 in the shape of Pierce Brosnan – Originally selected for the Living Daylights (that Tim Dalton starred in) but due to contractual issues with (Remington Steele – the TV series) Brosnan couldn’t break his contract (I believe) – anyway here he is in his first Bond movie that also introduced one ‘super’ actor Dame Judy Dench as the new M…

Tina Turner opens the score

A new bond wants to be fierce

Gold once again comes to the fore

As we introduce, Brosnan, Mr. Pierce

Trevelyan assists Bond in the USSR

Russia is the baddie – no way!

Ourumov ensures Trevelyan doesn’t get far

Bond lives to fight another day…

Nine years go by

Janus is the group to stop

In Monte Carlo; 007 isn’t shy

When he meets with Xenia Onatopp

An EMP is set loose

M instructs Bond to investigate

Can they get Janus in their noose?

Or will MI6 be a little bit late…

A pulse space weapon is in play

Will two faces be seen?

Trevelyan is alive; and wants to have his say

On a financial meltdown; he is very keen

Bond is trapped with Natalya

The stolen tiger is to be their end

Escaping; then caught is another matter

As Dimitri Mishkin has a message to send

Ourumov is suspected by Dimitri

Natalya is living proof

Mishkin on the train; is done in

Bond escapes like magic – poof!

They head to Cuba by air

But bullets start to fly

Onatopp shoots; she doesn’t play fair

Bond and Natalya have ‘no time to die’..

007 finishes Onatopp for good

The secret base is under the lake

The plan;to light a fuse under the hood

And watch that satellite dish break

Bond fights his old friend

To save England and the world outside

Trevelyan meets a ‘falling’ end

As they say goodnight – to the GoldenEye…

The Bond Poetic – Episode 1.16 ‘The Killing Licence’

Bond is out for revenge – after his CIA buddie Felix Leiter and his wife are attached by Robert Davi’s drug lord character. The original title changed from Licence Revoked to Licence to Kill – the them song being sung by Gladys Knight…This was to be Tim Dalton’s second and final outing as James Bond.

The Killing Licence

Glady Knight’s mellow tones set the scene

Felix Leiter is in love – in a bubble

His wife waiting to marry; yes very keen

But capturing Sanchez; can only mean trouble

So much for  honeymoon time

Leiter is maimed, Della is no more

Their status play’s on Bond’s mind

Now it’s time to investigate this drug lord

Krest uses the marina to hide

Sanchez has his white powder to sell

M reassigns 007; he reacts with his pride

Bond leaves MI6; it’s time to ring the bell

On his own and revenge is the food

Krest is the weak link

So much to do and no time to brood

Bouvier makes two; they meet for a drink

Sanchez is the target-but is missed

Bond tries to join the assassin game

Many men die;adding more to the list

Bond puts Krest in ‘the frame’

Sanchez takes Bond in

Lupe shows him a good time 

Cocaine dissolved in petroleum

Sanchez uses a cult as a sign

Bouvier supports Bond as a team

The cocaine plant must be destroyed

A fire is a good idea it seems

Dario gets a bullet that Bouvier deploys…

Sanchex flees with his trucks

Another fire puts pay to him

Bond survives; the 007 luck

Aha!, this is no time for reflection

This isn’t the time to appear dim

Its time to distort a defection

By our new Bond Mr Tim

A cellist,sniper, killer blonde

Koskov’s escape to the UK

The dangerous journey shouldn’t be long

007 will find a way

Death to Spies reignites 

Its MI6 versus the KGB

Koskov is captured- losing the fight

004 is no longer – his body under siege

Bond sets out to play the Cello

The defection was a smoke screen

Bond finds Kara and says hello

Dodging the KGB they escape – clean

Pushkin and Whitaker make a pact

Arms that generates cash

Saunders helps, but doesn’t make the 2nd act

To Tangier for Bond, who makes a dash

So who  is the bad guy here?

Is Koskov really on the sly?

What Bond learns leaves him in fear

No more defection, it’s time for Koskov to die

Koskov tricks Kara over 007

Opium is now the cash cow

On a plane up high, not quite heaven

Bond and Pushkin must act now

Shah is released to offer aid

They attack the Russian air base

The drugs blow up- no one gets paid

Whitaker is Bonds next case

In Tangier Whitaker meets his end

Koskov is caught by Pushkin

Kara performs; one last message to send

In her dressing room Kara + Bond = kissing…

We’re on the edge of the sill

Moore’s last outing at the new moon

Is a View to a Kill

003 is not in good shape

That microchip holds the key

Bond uses his skills like a cape

And evades capture from  the KGB

Ascot is the next stop

A race to find more clues

Tibbett is leading from the top

Now Bond knows what to do

Could Zorin be the baddie?

A trip to Paris might be best

Bond sees a different type of ‘caddie’

And will now be put to the test

Tibbett’s ride ends too soon

It was his very own ‘May Day’

Bond is next line at noon

Will she get her own way?

Gogol reprimands his creation

May Day shows who is boss

Zorin’s horse’s take an injection

A £5million cheque, leaves Bond at a loss

The master plan is revealed

Cripple silicon valley

Everyone’s in, their lips sealed

Or be thrown out, into a long high alley

Paula Ivanova appears in Frisco, USA

The Russian link is there to be seen

Bond catches up to keep her at bay

Ivanova is fooled, but remains keen

The $5million is answered with Stacy

Salt water pumped into oil lines

Zorin wanted to buy her legacy

Bond & Stacy are running out of time

A fire at the geologists implicates Bond

Zorin’s stroke with Bond’s gun

The police find that they are wrong

Their error needs to be undone

In the air Stacy is taken

The Golden Gate bridge provides hope

Zorin swings, misses, his life now forsaken

Bond and Stacy’s hang by a rope

Dr Mortner has one last go

Oops he’s dropped the ball

The dynamite ignites; the airship blows

With an egg, he is laid to rest

The egg is ready to be sold

Bond sets out to trap

Khan watches on; his eyes cold

But doesn’t ever get in a flap

In India, the action takes place

Backgammon is played; roll the dice

Bond allows Magda to save face

Q’s gives Bond a listening device

Listening; MI6 learn the real news

Who is Khan working for

The battle to control europe ensues

Octopussy is Bond’s next chore

She knows Bond from the past

An invitation to stay at the palace

General Orlov smuggles more than glass

Octopussy shows Bond no malice

Khan and his goons step up the pace

The circus troupe get explosive

The target ; the US German military base

Now it’s time time get corrosive

Octopussy is conned; she’s mad

She assists Bond on the train

MI6 and Bond are glad

As Orlov finds a bullet; and dies from the pain

Back at Khan, the team launch an attack

Octopussy is caught in the crossfire

Gobinda takes a dive, there is no slack

Fleming took us towards the stars

Moore returns, there’s no surprise

With a shaken Martini at the bar

This time space is the game

That stolen NASA shuttle rocket

Bond takes a dive out of a plane

Picking a parachute out of a pocket

Without delay Bond faces Drax

The Centrifuge chamber becomes the test

At over 4G’s will bond collapse?

Goodhead to the rescue; doing her best

A tiny vial is the all important key

Drax’s plan is to use a gas

Rio de Janeiro is the place to flee

Bond better catch up – fast!

Jaws steps into the fray

A cable car fight ensues

Goodhead is caught;what a day

007 lives on; that’s the news

The amazon provides a secret

A rare toxin from a rare plant

Jaws seizes Bond; their plan is set

The underwater theme returns

Submarine technology is now the aim

Bond shows his due concern

Evading capture is never twice the same

Anya is Russia’s female spy

The plans avail themselves in Egypt

Jaws shows his teeth;someone may die

And end up in an ancient crypt?

Collaboration is now the new plan

Jaws still has other ideas

Bond saves Anya from the teeth of a can

Then he starts that ‘whispering’ in her ears

The trail leads to the water

Now Stromberg comes into view

The Lotus fires Naomi to a slaughter

The enemy is hit by the new ‘good two’

They investigate  the Atlantis base

Jaws is there to protect

A nuclear threat is there to be faced

The danger is clear to detect

Atlantis is the goal to destroy

Anya needs to be saved

Jaws plays with the sharks like a toy

Bond sends Stromberg to his grave…
